The Capacity Building Program on AI for Academic Writing is designed to help researchers, faculty members, and students leverage modern AI tools to enhance the quality, clarity, and efficiency of their academic writing. It focuses on developing practical skills for drafting, revising, and refining scholarly documents while maintaining academic integrity and disciplinary standards.
Mia V. Villarica is the Associate Dean and an Associate Professor V at the College of Computer Studies, Laguna State Polytechnic University. She earned her Doctor of Information Technology from AMA Computer University, Quezon City (2017), a Master of Science in Computer Science from AMA Computer College Makati (2009), and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from AMA Computer College Pasig (2003).
Her expertise spans eGovernment, digital governance, eLearning, data mining, machine learning, assistive technology, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A dedicated educator and researcher, she has authored several scholarly publications, led ICT capability-building and community extension initiatives, and continues to mentor undergraduate and graduate students in computing research and online learning development.
